Another vessel from a “Folds” collection, this one is all about fluid lines: layered clay lines, a circular line of the fold, the dark line of an opening. More a dance than a pose, this vase had its own flow from the beginning. I wanted a piece that was dynamic in every way, and so I let the process lead me to the final result. And here it is, something with a soul of water currents, flowing clouds and ever-moving desert sands.
